Richard Mewha and Rick Nelson established their own eye frame company, Bevel, in 1999. They're committed to making eyewear as essential to personal style and self-esteem as apparel or cosmetics. After all, while wearing prescription lenses corrects an optical need, it also brings attention to a primary asset: the face. Eyeglasses are universal, not gender specific, easy to maintain, and play a crucial role in our lives and daily discourse.
Anne&Valentin’s sole existence is due to... Anne and Valentin.
The deeply united couple spent their lives
nurturing and expanding their brand over time.
In Toulouse, where the company was founded
and where its headquarters still harbor the core of the team,
the Anne&Valentin lively spirit has been an inspiration to many.
The Anne and Valentin were eager to start an optical store
with a different approach than what was available at the time,
with a unique selection of original, nondescript frames
and a radically different sales philosophy.condimentum eu ac justo.
What began as a memo... on an order form has developed into the slogan for the most headstrong Belgian brand of spectacles: 'theo loves you'. To this very day the motto connects everything theo does, every decision, every collection. It was the love for their clients that made Wim Somers and Patrick Hoet, opticians with their own store, decide to design and present a collection under the name of theo. Why? Well, simple: because they wanted to offer their clients something other than the mainstream glasses that were selling at the time. So, in 1989, the first theo glasses became a fact. And they were groundbreaking. With every following collection, it became increasingly easier to reach the consumer. Today, more than 20 years later, theo is sold in 1,400 stores across 50 countries... and theo loves them all!
Ray-Ban sunglasses have been an american icon ever since 1937, when United States Air-Force pilots adopted the now-infamous Aviator style of sunglasses as their go-to eye protection. Initially crafted as a sleek, yet practical way to protect the sun from the eyes, the Ray-Ban Aviators were made to be especially light, while still being protective of one's eyesight. Original Aviators were crafted with mineral glass, which was revolutionary for filtering harmful ultra-violet rays.
Different from the Aviators in their thick plastic rims, the Ray Ban Wayfarers had an edgier feel to them that has been iconic throughout several eras ever since their initial introduction in 1952. Wayfarer Sunglasses are perhaps most famous for being sported by celebrities ranging from Tom Cruise, Michael Jackson, Jack Nicholson, Katy Perry, and numerous others throughout the decades.
Many other styles of sunglasses have been inspired from both the Aviator, as well as the Wayfarer, and some point to almost all sunglasses as having been inspired by either the Wayfarer or the Aviator.
Clean Danish design is the basis of our products but we always add a twist of something surprising – something unexpected. We aim to balance classic and clean with bold and bright to continuously keep classic styles updated. The most important thing is always to create eyewear that will create a synergy between the face and the frame. The frame and the face must interact to obtain a beautiful and harmonic look. We never design a frame that demands all the attention but rather a piece of eyewear that completes and enhances the lines of the face.
The WOOW collection has been imagined by Nadine Roth and Pascal Jaulent, cofounders of FACE à FACE.
Between traditional and casual, chic and off-beat with a “trendy London” feel, the WOOW style will speak to all women and men with a sense of humor.
Anti-crisis eyewear! The little message inserted in the end tip of the frame will make the wearer smile first thing in the morning… Better than a coach!
The frames are characterized by a unicolor front and “sleeved” two-toned temples, the end tip bearing a little “poking” message.
The soft, rounded metallic insert, covered by a thin layer of resin, is inspired by the superb keys of old typewriters.
The Robert Marc Collection is crafted with high-quality materials such as zyl (Italian acetate) and titanium. He is known for layering contrasting and complementary colors and patterns to create depth and glamour in each frame.
